Jaimee McMullen is pleased to a be a part of the Advanced Behavioral Centers of DuPage team. She specializes not only in traditional counseling, but art / expressive therapy as well. Jaimee utilizes her skills to increase her clients installation of hope, trust, and faith within themselves. These qualities are imperative in order to gain self-esteem, improve insight, and strengthen stability in our lives. “I strongly believe that the healing process begins when a therapeutic relationship is established and that the power of art is an important piece of this process.”

In 2004, Jaimee earned her MA in Counseling Psychology: Art Therapy from Adler University, formally known as The Adler School of Professional Psychology. Leading up to this, she received her BA at Columbia College, Columbia, MO. Her areas of concentration included Psychology, Education and Art. Jaimee has completed internships in Columbia, MO., Evanston and Chicago Il. These include The Services of Independent Living, a group home for individuals with ASD., The Rice Child and Family Center, a youth residential center for psychiatric and behavioral disorders and The Art Therapy Connection, Art Therapy services within the Evanston and Chicago Public Schools.

For the past 10 years Jaimee has been employed at ABBHH in the Art Therapy and Adolescent Partial program. There she is a case manager, therapeutic educator, group, family and individual therapist.

Jaimee McMullen has experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families. Her areas of interest include those struggling with mood disorders, depression, anxiety, attachment disorders, trauma, ASD, school refusal and personal growth. In her leisure time she enjoys painting and drawing, expressive writing, exercise, travel, walking her dog and spending time with family and friends.​
